The Peter Underwood Centre for Educational Attainment welcomes you to the April Horizon Series Event presented by University of Tasmania academic Lisa Denny.
Hear Lisa speak about social mobility in Tasmania and the role that education plays in achieving improved social mobility.
Lisa is a demographer and affiliated researcher with the Institute for the Study of Social Change andPhD candidate at the University of Tasmania. In addition to providing demographic analysis and modelling at state, regional or local level using multiple social and economic variables, her area of expertise and research centres on the interrelated nature of the population, education, and training and work with a view to achieving economic renewal in the context of population ageing and other socio-economic scenarios. Lisa focuses on producing empirically based evidence to inform policy development to improve productivity, education to employment transitions, equality and well-being.
