Just One… A Ripple Effect of Positive Change

Grade 7 and 8 students at Oatlands District High School are halfway through the Just One… program — and already creating waves of inclusion and empathy across the school community!

This 10-hour, hands-on program, created right here in Tasmania, draws from real-life stories of locals who’ve experienced exclusion and discrimination. Through four powerful steps, students are learning how to connect, challenge bullying, and champion diversity.

Principal Denise Bryant shared, “Wonderful feedback from a fantastic program!”

Students are saying “treat people the same, not differently just because of the way they look or act”.

We are looking forward to seeing what the students come up with at the end of the program in June.

Together, we’re raising a generation of changemakers — Just One… action at a time.

Thank you to the Department for Education, Children and Young People.
