Brighton High School: Building Inclusion Through Storytelling and Reflection.

Recently, A Fairer World had the pleasure of visiting Brighton High School for the very first time to deliver our Diversity and Inclusion program.

Students were highly engaged throughout the session and shared some powerful reflections. One student noted, “Just because you look different or don’t look a certain way does not mean you are any less worthy.” Another highlighted the important connection between stereotyping, bias, prejudice and discrimination, recognising how these attitudes and behaviours are linked.

The feedback was incredibly encouraging, with 99% of students reporting that they would be more inclusive as a result of the program, and teachers rating the session 100% for overall quality.

Thank you to the students and staff at Brighton High School for their thoughtful participation, honest discussions and willingness to challenge stereotypes. Together, we can help create schools and communities where everyone feels respected, valued and included.
