Triabunna District School – the importance of storytelling.

The Hobart Human Library recently spent two enriching days at Triabunna District School, engaging with Grades 6 through 10. Our books, Katie, Donna, Chris, David S, David C, and Aster, had the privilege of sharing their stories, sparking meaningful conversations and fostering empathy among the students.

A funny anecdote from our visit – as we drove into town on a misty morning, we were greeted with a delightful surprise. Our names were up in lights! The school’s flashing sign welcomed The Hobart Human Library, making us feel both welcomed and a little famous!

Our time at Triabunna District School reaffirmed the importance of storytelling in building bridges and creating a more inclusive society. We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect with the students and look forward to continuing our mission of promoting diversity and understanding.
